I’m Amie Barsky — trauma and nervous system master coach, breathwork facilitator, and creator of the I Come First podcast.
From a young age, I was conditioned to believe that being a “good girl” meant following the rules — chasing success through hustle, perfectionism, proving, and people-pleasing.
And I played that game well. I checked all the boxes society said would lead to happiness. But behind the mask of success, I was exhausted, anxious, disconnected from my body, and silently battling waves of depression and shame.
My own journey — marked by the sudden death of my brother, divorce, body image struggles, sexual assault, and childhood trauma — revealed just how deeply we’re taught to override our needs in order to be accepted.
It wasn’t until I learned how to work with my nervous system and reconnect with the truth of my body that everything changed.
I realized:
My worth isn’t tied to the hustle, the grind, or getting it “right.”
And yours isn’t either. I took the leap to break the norm.
Now, I guide women all over the world to break free from the same cycles — and come home to the confidence, power, softness, and safety that’s already inside of them and now it’s your turn.
